New Photos & New Outlook

It’s amazing how powerful it can be to see yourself through the lens of someone else. I think it is easy to take it for granted in the industry, because at a certain point it becomes second nature to be around cameras. We perfect our craft to flawlessly portray a person—even bigger, a story and an emotion. At least for me, I often breeze past watching this process to see what other’s see, and to actually experience this emotion. I wasn’t expecting how cathartic the experience would be to get some new headshots taken, though it reminded me to do this very thing. So I guess the thing I took from this was to not forget to stop, if even for just a moment, to reflect on where I have been and where I would like to go. If I don’t enjoy the moments then the end result is so much less rewarding.
